Abu Dhabi's real estate market recorded transactions worth Dh171.26 billion in the first nine months of 2026, according to new figures from the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre, marking a 76.1 per cent jump compared with Dh97.19 billion over the same period last year.

The total number of transactions also rose sharply, climbing 32.8 per cent to 38,483 deals, up from 28,977 in the first nine months of 2025. Sales transactions alone grew 105 per cent in value and 49.2 per cent in volume, while mortgage activity increased 30.2 per cent in value and 13.2 per cent in volume over the same period.

By location, Al Reem Island led all areas with Dh29.86 billion in transaction value, followed by Al Hudayriyat Island at Dh28.62 billion, Al Saadiyat Island at Dh18.69 billion, Yas Island at Dh13.4 billion and Zayed City at Dh5.36 billion.

Investors from 121 nationalities took part in the market, and foreign direct investment from non-residents reached Dh17.22 billion, more than double the Dh8.2 billion recorded for the whole of 2025. The largest sources of foreign capital were the UK, China, Russia, the US, France and Germany.

Rashed Al Omaira, the centre's director general, said the scale of investment shows how many people and businesses are making a long-term commitment to Abu Dhabi, pointing to the growing diversity of both local and international buyers as a sign of sustained confidence in the emirate's property sector heading into the final quarter of the year.
